John is a Partner at Lothrop Associates and a member of the American Institute of Architects, with over 40 years of experience. He serves as firm leader for complex and technically demanding projects, including critical facilities, data centers, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, municipal facilities, and commercial environments. John has a diverse portfolio of national and international clients, having completed projects across the United States, China, Canada, and other international locations.

Lothrop Associates Architects promote sustainable design initiatives and many of John’s projects are LEED Certificated. Beyond his design and project management responsibilities, John also oversees our firm’s technology infrastructure.

Jennifer Fernandez, RA
Principal

Jennifer is a Registered Architect and Associate with Lothrop Associates. She has worked on a wide array of projects from inception through construction in government, healthcare, education, and residential sectors. She is responsible for project management, coordination and preparation of construction documents on a wide variety of projects ranging in size and complexity. Her in depth knowledge of CAD has facilitated the improvement with development of Office drawing standards.

Since joining the firm, Jennifer has designed projects for the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office, Award-Winning Columbia County Courthouse and New York City School Construction Authority.

Jennifer’s supportive leadership and superior attention to detail are instrumental to successful projects and client relationships. She prioritizes teamwork and coordinates in-house staff training, professional development and continuing education for architects and designers.

Robert Gabalski, AIA

Robert Gabalski, AIA is a partner with over 40 years of experience. Robert focuses on master planning, renovations, and additions to library, municipal, recreation and public and community buildings. He is experienced in all phases of the design and construction process.
Throughout the course of his career, Bob has developed a passion and specialty in the field of historic preservation. He has a keen sensitivity to successfully assess and understand the unique challenges in the process of ensuring an existing structure is preserved, restored, and if required, suitable for adaptive re-use. He has a rich history of working with New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and brings significant knowledge to the firm’s historic preservation and restoration projects.

Robert directs and manages historic preservation projects requiring compliance with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties including the preparation of Historic Structures Reports and applications for listings on State and National Historic Registers.

Bob brings his skills to project design, firm management, staffing, client account management, sustainable design and specifications. He has worked on award-winning projects, such as the historic Cropsey Barn restoration in Rockland County, NY.

Arthur J. Seckler, III

Arthur is a Principal at Lothrop Associates Architects with over 35 years of experience in project management and construction administration. He works with a variety of clients on education, municipal, government, multi-family residential, municipal housing, healthcare, commercial and adaptive reuse projects. Arthur assists in marketing, client development, firm operations and contributes to the overall success of the firm.

William Simmons, AIA is a Principal Emeritus of Lothrop Associates Architects with more than 40 years of experience. He is responsible for leading and directing the firm’s in-house aquatic practice known as Aquatectonic Architects. Bill’s comprehensive experience includes all facets of design, construction administration, inspection and quality control of aquatic facilities as-builts, among all market sectors including commercial multifamily, institutional, community and municipal, fitness centers and spas.

Additionally, Bill oversees Lothrop Associates business and office operations, office production and scheduling. He promotes sustainable design initiatives for our clients..

Glenn is an Associate at Lothrop Associates and serves as the Technical Director for Aquatectonic Architects, the firm’s pool design division. He has over 45 years of experience and has applied his architecture skills in the role of project architect, project manager and specifications writer. Vince brings his effective, proactive problem solving skills to a diverse range of projects.

His portfolio illustrates extensive experience, varying in size and scope from minor renovations and alterations to complicated, phased projects with construction budgets exceeding $110 million. Vince’s leadership and project management has helped the firm grow and produce the best possible results.

Mark is a Registered Architect and Project Manager at Lothrop Associates with over 30 years of experience. He brings his skill set and experience to a wide range of municipal, residential, commercial, recreational, institutional and government projects.

Mark is involved in all phases of projects, with a focus on design, code analysis and construction document coordination. He utilizes his efficient problem solving skills to build long term relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, and team members. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Mark acts as a leader in the firm’s sustainable design initiatives.
