New Award-Winning Aquatic Center and Branch Library
Lothrop Associates was hired by the Town to design a new family recreation center that would appeal to people of all ages. After several meetings to gain input from the community, support was gained through a campaign which ultimately led to approval of a bond referendum for the award-winning project.
The new town pool and community center includes four outdoor swimming pools with bathhouse facilities and a food concession, a public library, a large community room and a recreation room which serves as a teen center, space for senior citizen activities, arts and crafts, sports and various community meetings.
