Feasibility Study | 18,000 Square Foot New Library

As a result of a Facility Needs Assessment and several alternate concepts and design options completed by our firm, a new 18,000 square foot Library was designed to complement its neighboring historic buildings. The new Library, which replaced the former 1950’s building, is located in the historic downtown area adjacent to the Village Hall and former Post Office. It includes expanded collections, new space for individual and collaborative learning with study carrels and seating, group tables, study rooms and community meeting rooms. The design also incorporated several Green/Sustainable/Renewable Energy features with geothermal heating/cooling, rain collection gardens, low-emitting and recyclable interior finish selections, scrim transom windows, and energy efficient lighting.
